So last night, I saw Star Wars: The Last Jedi and I've got to say I thought it was pretty awesome. (I know Star Wars has nothing to do with MLP, but I'm a fan of both so I'm gonna talk about both) I've noticed that the film has received a huge backlash from fans and I don't really get it. I had a blast with The Last Jedi and I cannot wait to not only see it again when I hopefully get the Blu-ray, but I can't wait to see what J.J. Abrams has in store for Episode IX.

Yeah, that's not the Star Wars I knew.

It hurts to hear the awful characters with boring monotone voices, devoid of emotion. I could go on about much more reasons over why I hate it, but I rather not waste time on this trash. But I will say, Disney has ruined Star Wars.

Just saw SW The Last Jedi and holy shit!!!!!! The movie was so amazing my jaw was dropped for over half of the movie!!! My top favourite movie of all time was Pacific Rim but in 2 and a half hours The Last Jedi wiped that spot clean and took it! It was the best movie I have ever seen and I recommend it to everyone!

So I got back from the premiere of the movie.
It didn't disappoint.
It exceeded all expectations where there were none.
Overall it did exactly what it was meant to do. It made me emotional. It made me feel hopelessness.
In the very end.... It made me feel hope.

This was the kind of movie you want to see no matter what. It made me so happy and seeing Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker on the scene was exactly what I wanted. I am truly happy I went to it.

          So, last year in March, I wrote that I was okay with seeing characters that I don’t sympathize with get redeemed.  I was mainly talking about Starlight Glimmer, but in the process of giving my reasons for supporting the redemption of unsympathetic characters, I ended up comparing her to Kylo Ren from the newer Star Wars trilogy movies.  You see, I had written that if Kylo didn’t get redeemed, then his father would have died for nothing.

In the final week of 2017, I was privileged to watch 2 sci-fi films a day apart. The first was Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and the other was Valerian: City of a Thousand Planets.
